Trask was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He began dancing in June of 2011, studying ballet under Dianna George. Trask remained in the Soo for two years, continuing to study with Dianna as well as studying ballet and modern under Deborah Choszczyk.
He then moved to train and dance with Gregory George’s company, Children’s Ballet Theatre, in Lansing where he also trained at Danceworks of Michigan and performed with Happendance’s professional company. Here he also began studying Middle Eastern Belly Dance under Garnett Kepler and soon after auditioned into the Habibi Dancers. After being in Lansing for a year, Trask moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he studied dance at Western Michigan University (WMU). Here he was cast in Antony Tudor’s ballet, Continuo set by two dancers of American Ballet Theatre who had worked with Tudor. He has performed in this as well as David Curwen’s piece, “Glass House” in WMU’s 2015 Winter Gala Dance Concert. Currently, he has been cast in Lew Christensen's ballet, Con Amore, staged by Leslie Young, as well as other modern and contemporary pieces. These will be performed in WMU’s 2016 Winter Gala. Trask trained in various Ballroom Dance styles through Roots of Jazz class at WMU and has participated in Dancing with the WMU and Kazoo Stars twice, performing a Waltz and a Rhumba. He met Sharon in December of 2015 when the two were performing at a local show and continued his Ballroom training under her. He is now an instructor/choreographer at her studio.
